Get Paid to Write Articles - How Much do You Want to Earn?

If you have writing skills, or you simply enjoy writing, did you know you can get paid to write articles online? If you want an extra $400 a month or if you want to earn $80,000 a year, it is possible. Writing articles for a bit of extra cash is great, because you can sit down in your own time and write about things you know about and enjoy. Then you get paid for it!

If you are only after some money on the side, there are freelance writing websites which specialise in finding businesses and individuals who are willing to pay good money per article. You join this website and pay a monthly subscription and they not only give you access to these businesses and individuals, but will also give you training as part of their membership. This training will quickly bring you up to a level where you can write the high quality content which these businesses and individuals expect. A reputable freelance writing website will have all the work available in a central location, making it easy to log in, and choose your job for the day.

If you want to find work yourself, it is possible, but a lot harder. There are sites such as freelancer.com and elance.com which list all the available work people need done. You submit a bid, and have a portfolio of previous work you have done. If your bid is accepted, you then write the article on the topic they want and submit them for approval. If they are approved, you then get your payment. Once you are up and running this way, it is not too bad, but you still have to look for jobs and bid etc, which is time you are not getting paid for. Most people prefer to pay a small monthly subscription, and have all the non profitable things done for them. Then all they need to concentrate on is writing articles, and getting paid.

This method is great if you want to earn anywhere from $50 a week to $1000 a week, depending on how many articles you write. If you want get paid to write articles and make $80,000 per year or more, then you need to take a different approach.

You should still join a freelance writing website and the training will still bring you up to a level where you can write high quality articles, but you will focus on a different strategy. To really leverage your article writing, you will need to find products or services to promote, about which you are comfortable and know something about. When you write articles, you will then publish them yourself to article directories. People will be interested in what you wrote and go to your webpage or straight to the products webpage. If they buy the product or service, you receive a commission on the sale, anywhere from 15% to 75%, depending on the product or service you promoted. This way, you get paid over and over again for the same article.
