Get Paid to Write Articles - How Much do You Want to Earn?

Submitted by: Dave Mee

If you have writing skills, or you simply enjoy writing, did you know you can get paid to write articles online? If you want an extra $400 a month or if you want to earn $80,000 a year, it is possible. Writing articles for a bit of extra cash is great, because you can sit down in your own time and write about things you know about and enjoy. Then you get paid for it!

If you are only after some money on the side, there are freelance writing websites which specialise in finding businesses and individuals who are willing to pay good money per article. You join this website and pay a monthly subscription and they not only give you access to these businesses and individuals, but will also give you training as part of their membership. This training will quickly bring you up to a level where you can write the high quality content which these businesses and individuals expect. A reputable freelance writing website will have all the work available in a central location, making it easy to log in, and choose your job for the day.

If you want to find work yourself, it is possible, but a lot harder. There are sites such as freelancer.com and elance.com which list all the available work people need done. You submit a bid, and have a portfolio of previous work you have done. If your bid is accepted, you then write the article on the topic they want and submit them for approval. If they are approved, you then get your payment. Once you are up and running this way, it is not too bad, but you still have to look for jobs and bid etc, which is time you are not getting paid for. Most people prefer to pay a small monthly subscription, and have all the non profitable things done for them. Then all they need to concentrate on is writing articles, and getting paid.

This method is great if you want to earn anywhere from $50 a week to $1000 a week, depending on how many articles you write. If you want get paid to write articles and make $80,000 per year or more, then you need to take a different approach.

You should still join a freelance writing website and the training will still bring you up to a level where you can write high quality articles, but you will focus on a different strategy. To really leverage your article writing, you will need to find products or services to promote, about which you are comfortable and know something about. When you write articles, you will then publish them yourself to article directories. People will be interested in what you wrote and go to your webpage or straight to the products webpage. If they buy the product or service, you receive a commission on the sale, anywhere from 15% to 75%, depending on the product or service you promoted. This way, you get paid over and over again for the same article.

Whichever way you want to proceed to get paid to write articles depends on your personal circumstances. Good Luck!

Get Paid To Write Articles- Make $800 a Day-Easy Money

If you ever wanted to write articles online for a living, you could find yourself making $800. This figure can even be made higher thanks to the popularity of the Internet. Webmasters are finding themselves seeking the services of freelance writers on a regular basis. Some technical writers are finding themselves making a full time living with little or no experience. Are you ready to earn a full time income writing simple articles from home? Take note to this article as I show you the different ways you can make money writing online.

Skills Needed- Thanks to the Internet, there are little to no skills needed for making money online. The biggest thing you will need to do is avoid the "sweatshop writing mills". What are these? These are the low paying sites that want to pay you $3 per article for your hard work! I'm sure many of you have seen them, "Get paid to write online and make money from home!"

While it is true you can earn money on the Internet writing articles, you will never get rich using this method. Take note to the rest of this article; I'm going to show you how to really earn a living writing articles on the Internet without these sweatshop sites. (By the way, Associated Content is one of those low paying sites; stay clear!)

Selling Your Own Writing- Okay, now here is the real way to earn over $1000 a day writing articles from home. If you want to make it in the writing industry, you have got to sell your own writing. There are multiple ways you can go about doing this:

1) Content marketplaces- These are places where you can market your articles. There are many pros and cons to using these magic places to promote your articles. Some pros is that you don't have to work hard at promoting your articles. If the site already has a fair amount of traffic and you write on a hot topic that many webmasters are interested in, then you can earn a pretty good decent amount of money writing articles.

The cons include the stiff competition and the fact that many content marketplaces are really overcrowded. Most articles don't sell well if they are over $10. Also, many of the content marketplaces don't protect your article from being scraped by the search engines, which can make your article sample look like a duplicate.

Some good websites to use to promote your articles include; Constant-Content and DailyArticle.com. Constant-Content has a higher page rank and is frequented by webmasters the most. In one section of their site, they have a list of articles that are in demand. Many writers claimed that if they write an article based around a "high demand article", they sell their content a lot faster. If you are looking to get rich with this method, you might want to take a long breath first, because it is not easy. In fact, many writers who sell their content using this method don't even make it to $2000 a month, but it is still a good option if you are new to the article writing business.

Your Own Website- This is the best option in my opinion. Your website will act as your business card. The more people you can get to your website, the more offers you will get. Here are some things to include on your website to attract potential clients:
Tell them the type of writing you offer- Most webmasters are interested in certain topics. Some just want to know if you offer SEO, promotional, general or niche articles. Some are only interested in PLR articles. You should pick which one you want to specialize in so your customers will keep coming back. They will know you offer a certain type of article, and that is how you truly earn your money.

Picture of Yourself- Of course, many people are not comfortable with plastering a pic of them on the Internet for the world to see, but it will get you more clients in the end. Clients are quicker to trust people when they see a picture of them. You can even add a logo to brand your business. Make sure your website is neat so it doesn't look like a scammer trying to get a quick buck.

Writing Samples- Writing samples are the key to your business. You need to show webmasters your writing ability and style. This is why I mentioned you should pick a certain type of article to write. To make sure your samples are not stolen, make sure to either provide a url link to your published work or a url address to a pdf file. If you don't know how to do the PDF file, then you can just use a free blog to purchase your articles on. Make sure to link to those articles in your writing sample section.

Paypal Verified Seal- Most people who do online business have heard of a Paypal merchant. They are trusted (even though they have problems and more people are using alternative options for their online merchant). If you are a verified Paypal account holder, all you have to do sign up for a seal online. You will be given a html code to place on your website.

Types of Writing You Can Sell- Of course, when you will be marketing yourself online to sell your articles, it is best figure out what type of writing you want to specialize in. Of course, you can always branch out and write any type of writing you feel you are gifted in, however, it is easier for new writers to stick with a certain type of writer.

PLR Articles- These are called, (Private Label Articles) and webmasters like them because they are cheap and can be sold over and over again. Also, the buyer can claim themselves as the original owner. This means they can submit the articles to multiple websites (article directories) for traffic to their own site.

Poems- These are starting to become more and more popular. Most companies that use these services are greeting card companies. There is a ton on the Internet. Zazzle.com is a good place to create greeting cards and sell them in bulk to greeting card companies.

Short Stories- This is another way to earn a lot of cash online writing articles. Short stories are more in demand with online ezines that may have paid subscribers. They usually pay an upfront payment to writers who contribute useful and quality stories to the site according to their submission guidelines.

SEO Articles- This is very popular with webmasters. If you sell SEO articles, you should be able to sell them quickly like hot cakes. It does help to take a course in SEO first before starting to write SEO articles on your own.

As you can see, there are multiple ways you can earn at least $800 writing articles online. The key is to use multiple revenue sources to earn money. Never stick with one company or publisher and get comfortable. To earn money on the Internet, you have to keep a lot of options just in case one option runs dry. Before you know it, you will be earning $800 or more a day writing articles from home.

Six Ways to Get Paid Online

By Justin V

Are you looking for some quick cash? If so you can get paid online fast 6 different ways. The first way is to read paid emails. The second is to use paid search engines. The third method is to take cash surveys. The fourth way is to join a forum that pays members for posting. The fifth is to click on ads for a website that pays for that. The sixth way is to write articles for websites. The great thing about these opportunities to make some quick online is you probably already do them for free.

1. Paid Emails. You can earn some nice cash reading emails. The first step is to find a legitimate website that sends out emails and pays members for reading them. Most emails pay around a nickel. It does not sound like much but it adds up quick. You can expect to receive about five emails per day from whatever email program you decide to sign up with. Signing up is always free and you are allowed to sign up with as many companies as you want. The more you join the more money you will be able to make. The best program to join is inbox dollars.

2. Paid Search Engines. This is one of the best ways to get paid online. There are several search engines out there that use google, yahoo, and live search results. They will actually pay you to use their search engine to get those same results or a mix of those results. They are referred to as paid search engines. The way you can get paid with those is to win prizes, cash, and sweepstakes. Also with these you can earn money by referring your friends which is easy since they will be able make money doing something they already do while not seeing a decrease in the quality of their search results.

3. Cash Surveys. Surveys have long been a popular way to make money. There is a lot of controversy surrounding this topic. A lot of people think it is a scam. Although there are a lot of survey scams out there, there are still lots of legitimate companies pay members good money for participating in surveys. Every once in a while you will get to partake in a phone survey or focus group. Phone surveys pay much more that surveys taken online. Focus groups are where the money is at. They almost always pay over one hundred dollars. Survey scout is the best paid survey program

4. Paid forums. If you are already a member of a couple forums you will love this opportunity. After you join a paid forum you earn money every time you post a new message. Basically, you are allowed to post as much as you want. Be careful not to become a spammer. If they think you are spamming they will kick you off the website forever. The best forum to post on is FTP.

5. Paid Per Click. Anyone can make money with this method. All you do is join a website that pays members to click on advertisements. Once you view the advertisement for 30 seconds you are credited. Do not expect to get rich with this method. There is serious cash in referrals, but you only earn a penny each time you click on a ad. The best paid to click program is bux.to.

6. Write Articles. There are so many places that you can get paid for writing articles on the internet. Here is how it works. You start off by writing an article. Once you publish it google ads are placed next to your article. Whenever someone clicks on a ad next to your article you earn money. How much you earn depends on a lot of things. Google is very secretive about the payment procedures. Some clicks will pay as much as 20 dollars while others pay only a penny. Hubpages is the most profitable website to write articles on.

These five methods of making money on the internet are great if you need cash quick. However, they cannot create a substantial long term income. If you are looking for something like that you should try something else. The top 5 online businesses are website building, affiliate programs, blogging for money, eBay business, and data entry positions.

Translation Jobs: Tips For People Engaging In Translation

Submitted by: Alex Baumm

Translation jobs are challenging jobs that demand great degree of care, diligence and patience. This is one of the reasons why it is said that translation is not for the person who lacks certain degree of discipline.

Another thing about translation jobs why other people do not engage in this profession is the degree of technical skill and intellectual ability necessary to be able to produce a product of superb quality and one that meets client's specific standard.

When engaging in translation jobs, aside from the behavioral and professional requirements, the person so engaging should find it necessary to update oneself to the new developments that happen in the languages he or she is specializing in.

This is one of the important things that must be placed in proper perspective to be able to survive in the profession.

Nevertheless, a person engaging in translation can make his or her work a lot easier if the following things will be adapted:

1. Update yourself with the use of technological software like computer dictionaries. With the present features of most computer dictionaries it is more convenient to use them as compared to printed dictionaries.

They are even made more accessible because these computer dictionaries are mostly compatible with major operating systems like Mac and Windows.

2. Allot regular time for your translation jobs. This has been proven to be more effective than not allotting specific time because it has a sort of conditioning effect.

3. Designate and come up with your very own workstation.

4. Explore the Internet every once in a while to see resource pages for translators and translation jobs.

5. Allot time to proofread works for possible unintentional errors like typographical and spelling errors.

The world is rapidly uniting. Now, to be able to land and secure good and lucrative translation jobs, it is imperative to know how to market translation services.

As a translator, you are expected to find means yourself on how you could market your translation services to prospective clients and employers. The activity is like submitting resumes in the world of conventional employment.

Email marketing is the surest and most effective way to market your translation services. You should know that the online media is quite different when compared to the conventional. Thus, the mode on how you offer your translation services to prospective clients is different.

Contrary to initial perceptions and impressions, email marketing is very cost effective as the activity is sometimes done and completed free of charge. Unlike direct and traditional snail mail, when you send an email, you do not need to purchase and secure documentary stamps. Your message would be received by your intended recipient in real time and feedbacks and responses could also be made in a snap.

Through email marketing, you are able to secure a list of email addresses of possible clients and employers. Usually, email marketing is facilitated by a specialized services provider or Website that is functioning to do so. All you have to do is to find and secure the services of such sites.

When you do email marketing, you practically group send a message or a letter to offer your translation job services to numerous clients, who may be needing to hire a translator. What is good about this technique, as mentioned, is that feedback and response is immediately communicated and sent back to you. Thus, if the terms of a translation job contract are not good for you, you could easily find another prospective client.

You would not have to exert much effort. Your email would do the marketing itself. All you have to do is to constantly update and check your email for possible client responses. That is the reason why you should compose a really persuasive and effective email marketing copy.

These days when there are just too many translators out there, you need to be competitive enough. The right translation job for you is just right there, waiting for you. Through sheer determination and strategizing, you would be able to attain your goals and requirements, for sure.

All About Freelance Translation Jobs

Submitted by: Brian Scott

As technology makes our world smaller, many businesses choose to promote themselves beyond the borders of the English-speaking world. This means translating their marketing materials into one or more different languages.

Do you write or read in a language other than English? If so, you can tap into individuals, colleges, and businesses seeking your services as a freelance translator. Whether you're translating or simply proofreading someone else's translation, you can find plenty of paying freelance jobs in this field.

Who is hiring freelance translators?

Many international and domestic businesses that serve various ethnicities need freelance translators. In the US, it is often essential to have your promotional materials in Spanish as well as English. In Canada, people are usually looking for French/English translation.

More often than not, companies with websites are the ones that hire freelance translators. It makes sense: it's more cost-effective to reach international clientele through the Internet. Yes, they have a website, but now they want to market to Japan – that's where, you, the freelance translator, comes in.

On the other side, foreign businesses want to market themselves in the US or Canada. That means they need someone like you to translate from the foreign language into flawless English.

What skills do you need as a freelance translator?

Your skills depend on the job. Writing in a foreign language is more difficult than reading in one. Even if you have a solid command of a foreign language, you may not have educated yourself to the extent that you can write it effortlessly, with all the colloquialisms and nuances of a native speaker. If that's the case, stick to the jobs where you're translating to English.

Of course, if you can write in a foreign language as a foreigner can, go for it – you are a rare commodity!

Where can you find freelance translation jobs?

Check out websites like online-writing-jobs.com and writingbids.com. These sites devote themselves to connecting freelance translators with clients who need things translated.

Freelancing websites like Guru.com and IFreelance.com are also excellent resources, especially if you know a highly sought-after language like French, Spanish, German, or many of the Asian languages.

On these sites you bid for projects, which can be competitive for more run-of-the-mill freelance work. For translation projects, it's a whole different story. There are few capable translators out there, so your bid will often be the only bid.

If you don't speak one of the more "popular" translation languages, don't worry – you can still find projects that pop up occasionally. Look at it this way: the rarer the language, the rarer the competition!

How can I quote appropriately for a freelance translation job?

Because your freelance translation services are in high demand, you can quote high, but do your best to estimate what the client can afford. If it's a startup project, chances are they don't have a ton of money to throw around.

That said, freelance translators can expect to earn at least $35 per hour and can charge much more as they build up a portfolio of happy customers. You have a unique skill, so don't undersell yourself. Use the marketing concept called "prestige pricing" -- if you lowball your prices, potential clients will assume you aren't good enough for them to pay you well.

How should I respond to a translation job ad?

Always present yourself professionally. Clients need to trust that you can handle the job because they (usually) have no immediate way of checking to see how accurate your translation is.

Read the sample ad below and ask yourself how you'd respond:

We have Japanese documents that must be translated to English for a business meeting. Please only respond if you can translate about 25 pages within one week. US English only.

If you can handle translating that quantity of Japanese in a short timeframe, then decide if you want to respond to the ad. When you respond, make sure you:

1. Emphasize your translation skills and what qualifies you as an expert translator.

2. Reassure the client that your English is of a professional caliber, so the documents will be appropriate for a business meeting.

3. Estimate your fee based on the time you need to complete the project.

Remember that people usually need translators because they can't do it themselves. Demonstrate your ability and integrity, and you should enjoy substantial success as a freelance translator.
